Kath Pyke has over 20 years of working in the environment sector on community, conservation and recreation projects. She has also worked in supporting people with dementia through developing resources, activities and training for use in care settings. As Project Leader, Kath delivers training and consultancy to people caring for those living with dementia. She also works with green space organisations to support dementia friendly venues.
Her career has focused on connecting people to nature through community projects, interpretative and education roles. Kath has worked with a wide range of groups at all levels including RSNC Wildlife Trusts, The National Trust, The British Mountaineering Council, The American Alpine Club, and Local government authorities. As a real enthusiast for nature and the outdoors, Kath is driven to supporting people in their outdoor experiences from taking the simplest steps to bigger adventures. Kath lived in Colorado for 10 years and travelled widely on mountaineering trips. Now based in Loughborough, she cares for her local green spaces, grows from plot to plate and seeks new outdoor experiences with her family across the East Midlands.
