We are seeking a Financial Accountant to join our small team on a part-time basis, working 15 hours per week. We are a national charity but are based in Essex so we are happy for you to work with us in the office or from home.
As lockdown eases, some people with dementia and their supporters are now finding it difficult to find the motivation to ‘get up and do’. Which is why we are offering free, online Mood and Motivation sessions.
Gill Taylor cares for husband John, who has dementia. For Gill it's a full-time role as John needs support in every aspect of daily life. Lockdown made their usual respite arrangements impossible, leaving them desperate for both a break and some support.
Sophia Dickinson, an independent occupational therapist, joined our online ‘Thinking Differently About Dementia’ Dementia Skills Session. Sophia regularly works with people living with dementia and was looking to enhance her knowledge and understanding of dementia so she could offer more rounded support to her clients. Howard cares for his wife Natalie, who has been living with dementia for three years. They are both in their seventies. He attended one of our Dementia Skills Sessions in 2020, and describes it as having a significant impact on how he and Natalie live together.
Dementia Adventure has a board of trustees who work in a voluntary capacity, and we are looking for more than one person to fill some vacancies on our board. We’re looking for people who have skills and experience in one or more of these areas:
- Digital skills to transform our services.
- Campaigning skills to raise awareness of our services.
- Lived experience of dementia or caring for someone with dementia
