Dementia Adventure Centre

Centre of Excellence

We are researching the social and financial feasibility of designing and building our first Dementia Adventure Centre. A specifically designed ‘centre of excellence’ that is dementia friendly, accessible, engaging, homely and stimulating. A place of well-being, in a semi-rural location in the South-East, where people are nurtured and supported to benefit from a range of nature based interventions.

The creation of a Dementia Adventure Centre is a logical next step on our journey in supporting people with dementia and their carers to have a better quality of life.

The centre will enable us to expand and deepen the impact of our successful holidays and short breaks whilst also being a place for research, training and community engagement projects, all with nature in mind.

We are working with experts across various sectors including: Social Investment from Bates Wells and Braithwaite and architecture and neuroscience from Professor John Zeisel – DA Honorary Adviser

We are now inviting potential partners and social investors to help us conclude this research and planning phase and bring this centre to life.
