We have an exciting opportunity for a paid intern to join the team at Dementia Adventure funded through the Rank Foundation Time to Shine Internship Programme. The position will be paid at the Living Wage for 12 months from January 2019 and would suit a recent graduate or college student with relevant skills but limited work experience or somebody who has been working in a particular role and wants to gain relevant experience to enable them to move into this field.
We are recruiting an intern specialising in filming, video editing and digital content production. We’re looking for someone that can help us create and maintain engaging video and digital content that will illustrate the support we provide, the impact of our work, and encourage people to get involved or find out more about us.
We will provide full induction and training and there will be the opportunity for the successful candidate to attend residential conferences and training events, with all travel expenses and accommodation provided. They will also be offered the chance to be mentored through the programme by a Time to Shine alumni, take part in Action Learning and network with the other Time to Shine interns and organisations.
DOWNLOAD THE JOB DESCRIPTION AND PERSON SPECIFICATION
The Time to Shine internship programme is in its seventh year of operation. To date, 120 charities have benefited from a Time to Shine internship. Its purpose is twofold: to address organisational development gaps within the charity, and to enable a person with the right skills mix, talent and work ethic to experience a 12 month Living Wage paid position in a meaningful work role.
Dementia Adventure is a registered charity dedicated to supporting people with dementia to get outdoors, connect with nature, themselves and their community, and retain a sense of adventure in their lives.
We will be applying for funding for the post in September and will be advised by the Rank Foundation if we have been successful on 8th October. We were successful in our application last year.
The Rank Foundation is a grant-giving charitable trust with a mission to improve the lives of people and their communities, across the UK. You can find out more here.
We think this could be a brilliant opportunity for somebody to gain experience and skills with support from both Dementia Adventure and the Rank Foundation.
