Peak District

The Peak District National Park in central England is well known for its stunning landscapes. The Northern ‘Dark Peak’ area with its gritstone ridges, large open moorland and the highest point in the area being Kinder Scout contrasts with the southern ‘White Peak’ area of limestone valleys and the famous Dovedale stepping stones. Add to this beauty the caverns, rivers and pretty villages The Peak District is a perfect holiday destination.

Finances

We don’t want money to be a reason for people not to have a holiday. We fundraise to reduce the price we charge for holidays to make them more affordable.  The price we charge you is less than half the full cost. If you would like to make an additional donation towards our holiday programme to make a holiday possible for somebody who otherwise might not afford it, please let us know when you book. The listed price includes the charitable subsidy applied to your first holiday each calendar year.

There are other ways to access funds to make your holiday happen, especially if you are on a means tested benefit. Read our guide to financial assistance for more information.

Travel Insurance

Dementia Adventure recommend that you take out specific travel insurance to cover the risk of having to cancel a holiday due to illness. We do not recommend specific providers and suggest that people do their own research.
