This interactive, one day training course, is a first step for a wide selection of staff and volunteers who want to raise awareness of dementia and the benefits of nature and outdoor based experiences. It is also helpful for bringing about positive cultural change and service improvement.

We introduce the evidence behind this work and show how simple changes and practices can be introduced that will have a positive impact on the well-being of people living with dementia, as well as the staff and volunteers who support them.

Delegates spend time together planning ‘adventures’ and addressing potential barriers before committing to personal actions to enhance the care they provide.
